Responsibilities:
- Friday: 4 pm - 7 pm
- Saturday: 11 am - 7 pm
- Sunday: 11 am - 7 pm
- up to approx. 15 hours a week
Responsibilities:
- Customer Assistance: Greet and engage customers in a friendly and approachable manner. Listen to customers' needs, answer their questions, and offer expert advice on firearms, ammunition, accessories, and related products.
- Product Knowledge: Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of various firearms, their specifications, features, and applications. Stay informed about the latest industry trends, products, and regulations to provide accurate information to customers.
- Sales and Recommendations: Assist customers in selecting the right firearms and accessories based on their preferences, needs, and intended usage. Provide recommendations, explain product differences, and offer alternatives when necessary.
- Inventory Management: Maintain a well-organized and visually appealing store display. Monitor inventory levels, restock shelves, and ensure that products are properly labeled and priced.
- Background Checks and Regulations: Guide customers through the necessary paperwork and background check processes required for firearm purchases. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws governing firearm sales.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and addressing any concerns promptly and professionally. Create a positive and welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business.
- Point of Sale Transactions: Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the store's point of sale system. Handle cash, credit card payments, and maintain proper documentation.
- Firearm Safety: Promote firearm safety by educating customers on safe storage, handling, and transport practices. Emphasize the importance of responsible firearm ownership.
- Upkeep and Maintenance: Keep the store environment clean, organized, and presentable at all times. Assist with general maintenance tasks as needed.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with fellow sales team members, management, and support staff to achieve sales goals and maintain a smoothly running store operation.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or relevant certifications preferred).
- Strong knowledge of firearms, ammunition, and shooting accessories.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to firearms sales.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-centric mindset with a friendly and helpful attitude.
- Sales experience in a retail environment is a plus.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced retail setting.
- Responsible and ethical conduct when dealing with firearms and customers.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderately heavy objects.
