Position Overview: Mission 94 is seeking an experienced and dedicated Range Training Manager to lead our training programs and ensure the safe and effective development of shooters at our shooting range facility. The Range Training Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive range training curriculum, managing a team of instructors, and ensuring a high standard of safety and education. The ideal candidate will possess strong instructional skills, deep knowledge of firearms, and a commitment to fostering a culture of responsible shooting practices.
Responsibilities:
Training Program Development:
  • Develop and update a structured range training curriculum catering to shooters of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced marksmen.
  • Incorporate best practices, industry standards, and the latest shooting techniques into training materials.
Instructor Team Management:
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of firearms instructors to ensure high-quality instruction and consistent adherence to safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular instructor meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
Instructional Design:
  • Design engaging and effective training courses that cover firearm safety, shooting fundamentals, marksmanship, tactical shooting, and more.
  • Develop training materials, presentations, and resources to support the learning process.
Training Delivery:
  • Conduct training sessions for individuals and groups, focusing on safe firearm handling, shooting accuracy, proper stance, and other essential skills.
  • Provide personalized coaching and feedback to help participants improve their shooting techniques.
Safety Oversight:
  • Ensure that all training activities adhere to strict safety standards and protocols.
  • Monitor participants' compliance with safety rules and intervene as necessary to prevent unsafe behavior.


Customer Engagement:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, providing information, and assisting shooters with their training needs.
  • Foster a welcoming and supportive learning environment.
Range Operations Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align training programs with overall operations and safety procedures.
Educational Initiatives:
  • Develop and organize educational events, workshops, seminars, and certification courses to further shooters' skills and knowledge.
Performance Evaluation:
  • Evaluate participants' progress and instructors' performance, providing constructive feedback to both.
  • Analyze training metrics to assess the effectiveness of the training programs.
Regulatory Compliance:
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to firearm training.
  • Ensure all training activities are conducted in full compliance with legal requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Criminal Justice, Education, or similar) preferred.
  • Certification as a Firearms Instructor and substantial experience in firearms training.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of firearms safety principles, shooting techniques, and range operations.
  • Strong instructional skills with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and relatable manner.
  • Leadership and people management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to stand, demonstrate, and instruct for extended periods.
