Executive Private Chef

Position Summary:

• Chicago-based executive is seeking a Private Home Chef.  
• The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented and comfortable collaborating with other household staff, including Wellness Coordinator and Nutritionist. 
• This position is temporary with the possibility of becoming a permanent opportunity.

Essential Position Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate has a culinary-specific certificate/degree.
• At least 2-5 years as a private full-time home chef
• Able to interact and communicate well with other household staff
• Able to work 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• The ideal candidate is able to prepare healthy meals that adhere to specific dietary guidelines and restrictions, as well as preferences.   
• Preparation meals include breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.
• Provides fresh recipes, food varieties, and plating arrangements
• Work closely with the Wellness Coordinator and Nutritionist to plan meals
• Creating a weekly meal plan and manage food costs and inventory.
• Maintain awareness of food storage, quality, and appearance
• Keeping the kitchen organized and well-stocked
• Meals should include simple reheating or preparation instructions when ready to consume
• The candidate should be able to understand and maintain discretion, and a positive, calm demeanor. 
• All food should be prepared from scratch in a healthy, sanitary manner in the executive’s home. 
• The Chef will be responsible for all grocery shopping prior to meal preparation, as well as kitchen clean-up following meal prep.  

Additional responsibilities include:

• Lunch may need to be prepared daily for household staff members and could also include breakfast and dinner depending on staff hours
• Meals may need to be prepared for additional guests
• At times, may need to work and commute between two locations: Chicago and Winnetka
